Jacques was a faithful correspondent. When he visited his family in Normandy every summer, he kept in touch with wonderful postcards and letters. For occasions or holidays, he always connected. In this section will be some of the letters that he wrote…always revealing his kindness and thoughtfulness.
I will be adding many examples of his wonderful letters in the coming months. I would also be happy to post letters to other friends who might want to share them.
Jacques and Dylan
Jacques came to see Dylan in the hospital the night Dylan was born. Jacques maintained a keen interest in Dylan’s progress in all the facets of his life. I almost fell over when I read Dylan’s postcard to Jacques…in French! Yes, there are errors and his handwriting is, well, his handwriting. But, the effort! And the appreciation! Jacques was very moved by it.
